This unique solar park on the vast site (approximately 90 Hectares) is now one of the largest in the UK, generating enough renewable electricity to power more than 11,000 average homes.

The proposal for the former RAF station at West Raynham, near Fakenham, has seen nearly 200,000 panels installed over 225 acres and now has complete perimeter surveillance by thermal imaging monitored CCTV.

Thermal imaging is the fastest and safest method of early problem detection on electrical, mechanical and process equipment, as well as the building envelope and this method of detection combined with i-LIDS approved video analytics, was seen to be exactly what the client required in order to protect the plant and minimise the risk of intrusion.

The Davantis perimeter protection solution is Primary certified by the UK Home Office Scientific Branch (HOSDB), specifically as an i-LIDS® approved detection system for use of sterile zone operational alert in such security applications.

The UK Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) is one of the few independent institutions that carries out rigorous tests on video analytics systems and this certification makes Davantis a recommended solution for government installations in the United Kingdom.

There are 2 levels of certification: the primary level is for systems that achieve the highest level of performance and are then certified as recommended security systems. Those that achieve secondary level certification are recommended as support systems for another, main, security system.

Not many systems have achieved i-LIDS® strict evaluation criteria and Davantis is one of the select few manufacturers to join the primary monitor certification group.
